The Receptionist Console Features
TRC FEATURES
Keyboard Optimization
For the experienced receptionist who knows the extension number of the recipient a call can be answered and transferred with 1 hand and as few as 3 keystrokes plus the extension number, all from the computers numeric keypad.
Intuitive Operation
For a temp operating TRC must be easy, and keyboard short cuts aren't always obvious. TRC can be operated just as readily with the mouse as from the keyboard, with it's clearly labeled buttons.
Call Logging & Reporting
All available call information is recorded in either the embedded database or MySQL. Reports showing date/time, duration, caller id, operator, recipient, recording file name etc. Allowing analysis of the receptionist performance.
Call Classification
The receptionist can optionally classify each call against a user configurable set of classifications. The call report can then show calls based on the classification.
Call Recording
Upon transfer the operator can select whether the call should be recorded.
Paging
Page a group of phones directly from the TRC interface.
Call Parking
Park a call and then page the desired person to pick up the parked call.
Task Bar
Minimize the receptionist console to the task bar. A notification window pops open when a call arrives. Answer the call directly from the notification window or open up the console for advanced options.
Vacant Transfer
TRC automatically detects when the receptionist is not available and automatically transfers calls to a configurable extension.
Vacant Logging
When unattended TRC creates a log of all calls it transfers, automatically ready for review when the receptionist returns.
Assisted Transfer
Allows the receptionist to talk to the party the caller is wishing to talk to prior to connecting the caller through.
Assisted Transfer with Introduction
This is an extension of the Assisted Transfer allowing a 3 way introduction (conference call) of the caller and recipient by the receptionist. Should it turn out that the caller needs to be diverted to another recipient they can be returned to hold.
Blind Transfer
Transfer the caller immediately to the recipient.
Deferred Transfer
When the recipients' extension is busy, TRC places the caller on hold (music on hold). When the extension becomes availably TRC automatically transfers the caller. No further intervention is required by the receptionist, although the receptionist may take the call back from on hold at anytime.
Hold
music on hold, making use of asterisks' native music on hold.
Caller ID
The Caller ID is display, if the number can be found in the database then the callers name will be displayed instead.
Phone Book - embedded database
TRC comes with it's own embedded database for the phone book, call logging & reports.
Phone Book
The Phone Book can be searched by First name, Surname, Company name & Extension number, making transferring a caller a breeze for temps. TRC automatically add entries for every SIP extension in the organization to its phone book.
A pattern matcher can be used to selectively importation extensions if required.
Phone Book Displays status of extensions with color coding
TRC displays the status of extensions within the PBX such as "Ringing" "Busy" etc. TRC colour codes each extension based on its current status.
Auto-Answer
TRC can instruct the receptionist phone to auto-answer so that the receptionist never needs to touch the phone when using a head-set or speaker phone.
DID number display & resolution
TRC displays the DID number (the number the caller dialed in on) or if configured an alternative descriptive text such as "Sales". Allowing the receptionist to answer the phone in an appropriate fashion for the number the caller dialed in on.
Transfer to Voice mail
Using the TRC a receptionist is able to transfer a caller to an extensions voice mail box, useful if the caller doesn't want to wait for the recipient to become available.
Display inbound calls and calls on hold with colour coding
TRC displays a wealth of information about calls waiting to be answered, on hold or waiting for a transfer. TRC color codes the display, this is fully user configurable.
Always on top
TRC can be set to be always on top of the desktop, preventing it from being accidentally obscured by other applications.
